yes, Anon, I spent ten summers as a camper and counselor at Camp Tanasi, a girl scout camp on Norris Lake in East Tennessee. Still my favorite job I’ve ever had, tbh. Camp is kind of like fandom, it was the first place I ever went where I felt I was among my own kind, where everyone gets super excited about the things they love and there’s no such thing as taking it too far, and where singing all the time and dressing in stupid outfits and just generally being silly is the norm, and encouraged. 

I could pretty much write a novel about camp things, and I actually did write a ridiculously long research paper about it for one of my college classes, so anything specific you want to hear about, ask away!
