You nod, but keep quiet.
“Nice trick, think it’ll work?” Balthazar asks you as he sits on the desk top. There’s a circle of blood on his chest that oozes as he eats lobster off the plate sitting next to him.

pls pls pls go read this episode, my favorite so far, which encapsulates so very well why I love this fic and its vision. Redemption Road is meant to be an alternate season 7, one which is written with solid characterization, fan input, and yes, shipping, in mind. In this episode we actually follow up with characters whose arcs have been abandoned by canon and examine how their lives have been affected, how the main characters are affected, and there’s lots of action and fun sexytimes and emotional resonance. It so very well creates a vision of what Supernatural could be, of all the buried potential that lies within the show.
